Every morning we pray, and share our special intentions. We set up our prayer space, and each week someone leads us in prayer. We enjoy our morning prayers.
In Science, we have been investigating the growth of radishes. We changed the amount of water we gave our plants. We kept the sunlight, soil, containers, and seeds the same. Our radishes received a lot of tender love and care!
So far, we have learned about variables, and how to conduct a science experiment. We also learned how to follow written instructions when we planted our seeds. It took several weeks for our seeds to grow.
Our radishes are still alive!
Today both Year 3 classes joined to participate in a Reconciliation retreat, run by Sister Catherine. The retreat is another step on our journey to receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Term 3. In the pictures, we are acting out passages from the Bible including: The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 25-37); Jesus and Zacchaeus (Luke 19: 1-10) and The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15: 11-32). Acting the passages out helped us to gain a better understanding of Jesus’ love for us and how He shared a message of forgiveness. We reflected on our choices, and thought of ways to ensure that we continue to make choices that are good and right for us.
We would like to send a special thank you to Sister Catherine for organising and running the retreat.
