Curtin University joined Yr 5’s to lead a STEM project to design a circuit and origami flower. The students enjoyed this challenge and are looking forward to working on the next project in Term 2.
Some class comments:
“It was a challenge because we had to make a circuit using the wires to make the light shine on our flower.” Gemma
“It was difficult to connect the circuit because the wires had to have a perfect connection to work.” Ava
“It was very interesting because it was so different to some of the activities we do in class.” Laura
We hope you enjoy viewing some of our fabulous designs! 🙂
Yr 5’s entered the spirit of faction swimming carnival day on Friday. Hooray!
All ready to swim for their team there were high spirits walking up to the College pool. Also spotted were many furry mascots and posters to support the competitors. It was a steamy day so everyone was pleased to cool off 🙂
Whilst it was a tight fought race the final winners were Treacey House who stole the show and took home first place.
Well done Yr 6 captains for supporting all swimmers from Yrs 4-6 and to all the individual medal winners.
A big thank you to Mrs Le Tessier for all her behind the scenes organising. The carnival ran as smooth as clockwork 🙂
It was great to see all the parents, grandparents and carers cheering us on.
Here’s to another exciting swim meet at ‘Interschools’ next week!
