Junior Drama Term 2

Pre-Primary Drama

The Pre-Primary children have been having fun learning about time awareness in drama class. They found out that some characters move at a fast pace whilst some characters move slowly. They have also been acting out characters from several books. In the photos below, the children can be seen playing a game called “Birds in the Garden”; finding out that some people move slowly and pretending to be a Scaly-Tailed Possum.

The Year One children have been building their vocal skills with the learning of several poems. They have also participated in a play set in the playground and created a short scene with a partner which they performed for the rest of the class. Here they can be seen reciting a poem called “A Little Worm”; imagining themselves in the playground and working on a short scene with their partners.

Special Choir Program

The Junior Special Choir and the Senior Special Choir sang “Anzac Day” at our special Anzac Day school service last term.  The choirs sang beautifully with reverence telling the story of the Anzacs.  They are currently rehearsing for the Catholic Performing Arts Festival to be held next term and are thoroughly enjoying preparing for this big event.
